Dan MartinHospital Manager
Dan grew up in Holt, but has lived in various places since college. He began his college career at Michigan State University, but later transferred to Western Michigan University. After graduation, Dan began a career in retail management. He quickly climbed the ranks at Kohl’s and was eventually given the opportunity to run two stores in Kalamazoo. After 13 years in retail it was time for a change, which eventually led him to Allegan Veterinary Clinic. Dan has spent the last five years working as the Hospital Manager and truly found an industry that has brought great joy to his professional life. When the opportunity arose, Dan was happy to be able to bring his expertise to AEH!
Dan has three boys: Caleb, Jacob, and Matthew, and all are involved in year round sports. His evenings and weekends are spent on the baseball fields, at the ice rink, at basketball courts, or in his truck shuttling his boys to and from their many activities! When Dan is able to find time to relax he enjoys running, fishing, spending time with friends, and traveling. The Martin “boys” have three dogs, Molly a setter mix, Murray a fluffy terrier mix, and Sam a crazy Cocker Spaniel. Life is never dull, but that’s just the way they like it!
Hannah DelgadoPayroll & Benefits Manager
Hannah is a recent graduate from Grand Valley State University, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Human Resources emphasis. Before Hannah took on the role of Payroll and Benefits Assistant Manager, she was the HR Intern here at the Animal Emergency Hospital. Hannah recently married her high school sweetheart, and they have two Pit Bulls named Coco and Lulu.
Claire AllenRecruitment & Retention Manager
Claire is a Kalamazoo native who gravitated towards East Lansing to earn her Bachelors in Communication from Michigan State University. She gained HR experience from working at a staffing agency, and is excited to pair that experience with her passion for animals here at AEH. She is extremely passionate about animals, helping train and develop others, and making a difference in this world in any way she can. Her favorite thing to do is spending time with her furry funky bunch – 4 dogs and 2 cats that she rescued. While it can get hectic, she wouldn’t have it any other way. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, adventuring outdoors with the pups, exploring the city, as well as anything with her friends and family (with or without fur)!
Rebecca PhelpsAdministrative Assistant
Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Adrian College in Adrian, MI. After graduation, she traveled with her husband around the country while he pursued a career in the Navy. They eventually ended up in Grand Rapids and are thrilled to once again be back in the great state of Michigan! At AEH, Rebecca works behind the scenes to provide administrative support to the management team. When not at work, Rebecca enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
