Dr. Leonard graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology before going to Iowa State University to get her degree in veterinary medicine. Prior to getting accepted to veterinary school Dr. Leonard worked at Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Grand Rapids as an assistant where her love of emergency medicine grew. After being in Iowa for four years she was excited to come back to West Michigan and once again be a part of the Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Grand Rapids team! In her free time, Dr. Leonard likes spending time with family, friends, and her fur family. She has a black Lab mix named Tucker, an Australian Shepherd/Spaniel mix named Elsa, a Border collie mix named Hunter, and a cat named Hiccup. Dr. Leonard enjoys reading, doing puzzles, watching movies, and spending time outside, especially on the water.
